- Authored more than 230 pieces of legislation that have been signed into law.
- Sponsored legislation addressing sudden cardiac arrest, concussion, and exertional heat stroke to help make New Jersey the national leader in health and safety policies for student-athletes.
- Authored legislation that provided New Jersey with one of the country’s most comprehensive safe-passing laws to protect pedestrians and cyclists on the state’s roadways.
- Led legislation ending dangers synthetic plastic microbeads commonly used in personal care products posed to state waterways and maritime life. Congress adopted Patrick’s “New Jersey Microbeads Law,” which President Obama signed into law.
- Saved the New Jersey Student Tuition Assistance Rewards Scholarship (NJ STARS) program, which provides college scholarships to qualified high school students.
- Wrote landmark legislation reforming New Jersey’s teacher tenure law to protect the collective bargaining rights of educators while ensuring their accountability in the classroom.
- Sponsored legislation requiring New Jersey to implement an electric school bus program to provide students with a healthier and more environmentally friendly mode of transportation.
